April has been a weird month, somehow both incredibly slow moving and over so quickly, I’m a little in shock. That said, Saturday I see Taylor Swift for the first time in too many years and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED IT’S FINALLY MAY, you have no idea. I’ve had an incredible start to the year so May is going to also be a weird month since I don’t really have anything I’m impatiently waiting for the second half of the year… Time to make some additional plans, I think. Oh, wait, I am seeing Six: The Musical in July! So never mind, something else to look forward to is still on the horizon! Anyway, you’re not here for my musings about how to motivate myself to continue working and getting out of bed every day, so let’s talk about the books I read in April, shall we?

• I think I shared Love in Panels’ Shop Your Shelves Bingo for Quarter Two in March, but just in case I didn’t, here it is again. But speaking of Love in Panels, I’m in love with their review of In a Jam.
• B has been doing an incredible collection of micro tropes lately. They Studied includes one of my favorite concepts as I’m genuinely madly in love with Nalini Singh’s The Arrows and, obviously, Eli from Hotel of Secrets. Then there was the That’s My Wife trope and y’all. A great trope. I love. I finally picked up In a Jam after putting it off for too long after this one.
• Nick is back and she’s been delivering so many reviews! My favorite book she’s reviewed so far is Hotel of Secrets, but I look forward to my TBR exploding as usual now that she’s back!
• Historical Romance Recs Based on Your Favorite Ted Lasso Character from Alexandra Vasati – Can’t wait to read these!!!
• In My Eras Book Recs Era from Read Forever Pub (They have The House on Mulberry Street as Debut and let me tell you, that is wrong. There are not a sufficient amount of anxiety songs on that album. I mean, you could persuade me, but… I disagree. I’d pair it with “This is Me Trying” or “Delicate.”)
• Shades n Pages is always so creative and talented and I really love this Love Languages paired with book recs post she made.
• Otherwise, I spent April watching Eras Tour lives and desperately praying that Taylor wouldn’t play my favorite songs when I’m not there. Did it work? No. But that’s okay.
