The TBR Tag

Well, I’ve ruminated on how awful my TBR is on my own plenty and it’s sparked a myriad of Snapchats where I ruminate on how ridiculous I am and how desperately I need to get some self control. So, when I stumbled across The TBR Tag on leynes’s channel, created by Dana and Rachel, which you can find here.

Questions

1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

On iBooks and on my Kindle App, I have a collection of TBR books. For the most part, my physical TBR books are separated from my Read bookshelves, but I didn’t have quite enough room for that so all of my non-fiction TBR is on my Read shelf, but since I’ve only read like two of them, that’s fine. And then I have six or seven other unread books on my read shelves, but I know what and where they are.

2. Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

Mostly eBook, although my TBR in physical form is alarmingly long as well.

3. How do you determine which book to read next?

I’m very much a mood reader, although I’ve been trying to use Readathons to motivate me to pick up various books sooner than I may have otherwise.

4. A Book That’s Been On Your TBR List The Longest

Goodness, I’m really not sure… I feel like Sisters in Law might be one of the oldest physical books on my TBR. On iBooks, I think it’s a Samantha Chase book and on my kindle, it’s apparently The Odds of Loving Glover Cleveland.

5. A Book You Recently Added To Your TBR

My most recent purchase was due to BookTube discussing the sequel and the first was on sale, London Belongs to Me.

6. A Book In Your TBR Strictly Because Of Its Beautiful Cover

I don’t really do exclusively cover buys, honestly. But A Thousand Pieces of You drew me in because of the cover and I definitely haven’t read it yet.

7. A Book On Your TBR That You Never Plan on Reading

I don’t really have books on my TBR I never plan on reading, honestly. I’ve been trying to unhaul books that I don’t want to re-read and I’m not trying to buy books I don’t want to read. But I got a few books from a friend including Courage to Soar by Simone Biles and I’m not sure if I’m going to read it or if I’m going to give it to my cousin.

8. An Unpublished Book On Your TBR That You’re Excited For

Ohh, Wrong to Need You by Alisha Rai because if I don’t get my hands on that soon, I’m going to explode.

9. A Book On Your TBR That Basically Everyone’s Read But You

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas — I know!!! I can’t believe I haven’t read it yet either. I’m so ashamed. But it’s happening! This month!!

10. A Book On Your TBR That Everyone Recommends To You

This Savage Song is probably the one sitting on my TBR that I’ve heard the most about and it’s been on my TBR for ages.

11. A Book On Your TBR That You’re Dying To Read

Oh gosh, so many of them. I’m really, really excited to get to The Power by Naomi Alderman, but I’m trying to wait until some of my friends can read it with me. I’ve read the first 30 pages and like… Yes!

12. How many books are on your TBR shelf?

Let’s not talk about this… But seriously, it’s hovering around 200, probably. I honestly have an unbelievable amount of ebooks and it’s a problem. I blame Smart Bitches Trashy Books, which is my fave andxx also the cause of my money sliding through my fingers without me noticing.

That’s all from me! How do you treat your TBR? Is it as out of control as mine?
