#SnowInLoveBingo Wrap Up

Well… Y’all. I did not get black out. I didn’t read for two prompts, although realistically, I could shift over one and say that I just didn’t finish one prompt. Yeah, okay, we’re going to do that. Still failed my own personal goal, especially since I really wanted to read through these 25 prompts twice. Oopsies. Anyway, let’s talk about what I read!

#SnowInLoveBingo
December 1 – February 28
Created by: Jen, Aarya, and Dani
Illustrated by: Sarah
Row One: Romance Classic, Prickly, After Midnight, Wicked, and Roman Empire
Row Two: Dreams, No Guilt, All Pleasure, Short n’ Sweet, Sapphic, and Referential Title
Row Three: Bananas, Graphic Novel/Audiobook, Happy Holidays, Reread, Black Love
Row Four: Couple with Multiple Books, Battle of Wills, Unmet Expectations, Healing, and Holiday Romance
Row Five: Beautiful Gowns, Snow, Sale, Chocolate, and Glasses

Row One

So, the prompt I didn’t finish was Romance Classic. I’m not sure why I just never prioritized one of the romance classics, but I truly just did not. What I did complete was Rain of Shadows and Ending by Melissa K. Roehrich for Prickly, although Tessa 100% was prickly in a way that Theon deserved. I placed In a Rush by Kate Canterbary in After Midnight because I just would not go to sleep on Super Bowl Sunday because I started this book and didn’t want to sleep until I finished. I put The Striker by Ana Huang down for wicked because the MMC had a reputation as a bad boy. And then Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh for Roman Empire because I think Boys of Tommen is going to be my new personality.

Row Two

I did Onyx Storm for Dreams because our FMC has nightmares, Quicksilver for No Guilt, All Pleasure because I should have been reading other things when I picked it up instead (and loved it), The Fall Risk for Short n’ Sweet because it’s a short story, Hers for the Weekend for Sapphic because it is, and Cruel Winter with You for Referential Title because it’s a play on “Cruel Summer with you” a lyric from Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”

Row Three

I did The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren for bananas, because honestly, this plot was wild. A good time, but still. Ne’er Duke Well by Alexandra Vasti slotted in for graphic novel/audiobook because I did read it on audio and I didn’t wind up reading a graphic novel in the last three months. I slotted in The Christmas Cottage by Christine Rimmer for Happy Holidays, although I wouldn’t really recommend it. I used Glint by Raven Kennedy for a reread and I am looking forward to continuing on in this series. And then my favorite book of this batch of five, hands down, was All I’ve Wanted, All I’ve Needed by A.E. Valdez, which I slotted in for Black Love. A million stars for that one, tbh. I loved it so much.

Row Four

This row of reads is just truly fantastic. I read Keeping 13 by Chloe Walsh for Couple with Multiple Books and I loved it. I read Flirting with Disaster by Naina Kumar for Battle of Wills because this Sweet Home Alabama inspired book, definitely fits for the prompt. I did Earl Crush for unmet expectations because this woman does not have her expectations met at all. The Culmination of Everything by CCJ was for healing, because this woman is recovering from grief and also physical injury, actually, as does the male main character too. Big Nick Energy by Morgan Elizabeth for holiday romance.

Row Five

I slotted in Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows for Beautiful Gown because I’m truly in love with this cover. I think it’s so pretty. I did I Think They Love You for snow, which is because there is snow inside the book. I got Say You’ll Be Mine on a kindle sale and used it for Sale (and loved it). Then did Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood for chocolate because of a snickers bar. And Truly, Madly, Deeply by Alexandria Bellefleur for glasses because there was literally one mention of glasses. You know, sometimes we do what we need to in order to finish (or try) the board.

Favorites

I absolutely loved so many of these books. Quicksilver by Callie Hart? Fantastic. Binding and Keeping 13? My new personality. All I’ve Wanted, All I’ve Needed? Obsessed. And also, Check & Mate? Genuinely SO good. I’m still amazed. Say You’ll Be Mine was a debut?? Baffling. And that’s not even all of my five stars. Just the ones that I can’t stop, won’t stop thinking about.

Closing Thoughts

All things considered, I’m still proud of my progress on this Bingo board, but here’s hoping I black out #SpringIntoLoveBingo. Did you participate? If so, how did you do?

xx
