November Wrap Up & December TBR

After a truly exhausting November, dotted with three excellent weekends spent with family, we have arrived at the last month of the year. And, specifically, as I’m writing this, the last two Eras Tour shows are tonight and tomorrow. To say that I am experiencing melancholia the likes of which I’ve never known feels like a definite understatement. On the bright side, this month has gone from being one that I was dreading due to work reasons to still being overwhelming at work, but significantly less so, which is a definite win. So now my goal of reading 25 books in the month of December to fill out the #SnowInLoveBingo board twice over feels much more attainable. Anyway, let’s talk about the 16 books I read in November.

Musings of November Reading

In the mood that I was in, I think it was hard for a book to really break through and pack a punch the vast majority of the time. The one rating I’m a little hesitant about is How to End a Love Story because sometimes I think it’s a 4.5 also, but for now, I’ve gone with what I recorded in my reading journal. I do want to say though that I really look forward to picking up Yulin Kuang in the future. I hope she writes a lot more because I loved her writing. It was the plot that kept me from fully loving the book.

2024 ARC Releases I Missed and Want to Read Before 2025

Specifically, I picked out 12 here that in theory represent one a month, excluding December, but I’m not exactly positive I made them represent one a month even aside from that. Regardless, these are the 12 ARCs I would like to get finished this month in addition to all the other reads I’m trying to accomplish. If I’d been smart, I would have included Hers for the Weekend, which I finished yesterday, but I wanted a fresh twelve. It is, however, the seventh, so, we’ll see how this goes.

I haven’t been in a historical romance reading mood for a while, but I’ve been upset about the concept that historical romance is dying so I tried to emphasize several of the historical romance ARCs I had, while still giving myself an appropriate portion of contemporary romances, which are definitely my sweet spot. We’ll see if I manage!

Closing Thoughts

As we’re coming up on the end of the year, please tell me what books YOU think I should be prioritizing because I have definitely spent so much money this year buying books that I have not got enough time to get to. So share your opinions with me, please!!

Thank you for being here and reading my thoughts on books that I read and want to read. I appreciate your comments and your reads so much. 2024 has been rough and I want to say that I really hope 2025 will be better, but I’m a bit nervous about our prospects. Nevertheless, for now, I will choose optimism and say that I hope you have the best December and that we will all go into the New Year rejuvenated and ready to make 2025 a good year.

xx
