January Wrap Up & February TBR

January was a century long, but my reading was pretty on par for my recent months reading, clocking in at 17 reads. I had a pretty decent month, reading wise, with the highlight absolutely being my re-read of Crescent City 1 and 2 and then my first read of CC3, House of Flame and Shadow! Anyway, let’s hop into what I read and we’ll go from there, shall we?

A Visual Look at the Books I Read in January

For what it’s worth, the only three ratings I feel 100% confident in are the CC1-3 5 star ratings because I’m obsessed with that series. The rest of the books may have been impacted by my general mood, which has not been quite as cheery as I wish it had been. As in, these books were all very readable, but ultimately, I’m not sure many of these are going to stick with me.

February TBR

I have so many February ARCs this month and no idea how I’ll read even a fraction of them. So wish me the best (or tell me which ones to prioritize)!

But there are also seven other books that are coming out in February that I’m super excited about!

Plus all of the backlist books I want to read and it’s Black History Month in the US and I like to use this as extra motivation to pick up a nonfiction that will teach me something. I’m sort of thinking it’s time for a re-read of Hood Feminism, but I might do Michelle Obama’s The Light We Carry instead because what I’m trying to learn this year is how to actually adult. We’ll see. I have no idea how many books I’ll make it through this year, but I know I’m excited to see what books I’ll fall in love with this month.

Let me know what books you’re planning to read!

  1. January is always the longest month ever. It’s always made worse by being paid early in December so by the end of January I was just on countdown until payday. It finally ended and now I have my birthday to look forward to! I hate when mood impacts reading because you can tell it’s not totally the books fault you aren’t enjoying it. I read At First Spite the other day and loved it and have just started Bride so at least I can say my February reading is going well.
