So… This month wasn’t really the best. But you know, it did contain Christmas and getting to see two of my besties so that was good. Plus, family time. Always good. And presents, both giving and receiving. That said, I’m excited to go into 2024 actually because… Well, It’s a fresh start, I guess. But for now, let’s just talk about what I read in December before we get started talking about my TBR.

January TBR
So one of the things that I did not do as well as I should have during 2023 was reading books by BIPOC authors. That’s not to say I didn’t read them because I did, it’s just that statistically speaking, I didn’t read enough. I really want to be achieving 33% or more each year and I did not meet that in 2023. So, I’m trying to keep that in mind when I set my TBRs going forward. We’ll see how I manage. First up, we have the January ARCs that I have:

I’m so excited for all seven of these books, honestly, so here’s hoping my eyeballs will be willing to actually read them. Anyway, then we have two other releases I’m really excited about in January:

And then finally, here are just a few other books I’m trying to get to…

Closing Thoughts
Here’s to a great January 2024! And just a really good 2024. Fingers crossed it’s a good year despite all that it has working against it. Anyway, we’re being positive today! So, yes, happy new year to all of you! I hope we have a good year.

December is always a slower reading month There’s always so much more going on. It still looks like you managed to read a decent amount and some high ratings too! I hope you manage to get all of your January TBR. I can say I really enjoyed both The Girl With Stars in Her Eyes and The Jasmine Throne so hope you do manage to get to them but I get with a new Sarah J Maas book out that may end up taking priority.
