September is my birthday month and generally is a month I really love, but this September was full of… a lot of not great things. Also, I feel like I’m fighting off a reading slump, or maybe it’s just a little dip in my mental health. But I did manage to read 20 books and my coworkers got me a Taylor Swift birthday card, so you know, it’s all looking up from here. Plus, October is the actual best month of the year because the leaves are STUNNING. So now I’m here to tell you about the books I read and the books I’m hoping to read in October. Let’s jump in, shall we?

I’m positive I’ve missed a lot because if it wasn’t on Instagram during my near daily posting and scrambling to make a post for the Swiftie Readathon I participated in, I was not fully present this month. So please, share with me your favorite post of yours or someone else’s down below!
October TBR

So I pulled some of the books I felt fit the Fall season vibes off my shelves and, um, they make a full shelf by themselves. Maybe some extra. And that’s just the books I physically own. My Libro.fm tag for October is at 17 and my Audible tag is (a) incomplete and (b) still is at 20. But as always, we’re going to pretend that my focus is on reading the ARCs I’ve requested and been approved for because, you know, that SHOULD be my focus.

Now for a small selection of the books I’m just really itching to get to:

Closing Thoughts
Overall, I hope October is a better month than September. I’m certainly hoping it will be and we have two major Taylor Swift things happening, so that should obviously help. What were your favorite reads of September? Let me know.
