I made myself a goal about halfway through March to read 31 books and I came very close, but ultimately hit 30 books instead. March was a super busy month for me though. Three of the four weekends in March, I had actual plans. Like, who is she? So 30 books is really incredible given that fact. But one of those weekends included a second trip to The Biltmore, so perhaps surprising no one, I continued my historical romance obsession. Although, all things considered, I also read a good bit outside of historical romance, so I’m not doing too terribly. Anyway, let’s talk about what I read, shall we?

April TBR
This month I’m participating in the Magical Readathon created by Book Roast. She is an absolutely phenomenal creative genius who has made an entire world up specifically for this readathon and it’s delightful. I’m not sure if I want to go for a Mind Mender or a Moon Warden as far as my career path goes so I’ve decided to just take the classes for both at this point. So here is my list of classes and the books I’m considering using for them!
- Alchemy: Book Featuring Romance – Boss Witch by Ann Aguirre
- Art of Illusion: Book w/Trope You Like – The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas or any other marriage of convenience book. (I like many tropes, but I seem to be in the mood for marriage of convenience right now.)
- Astronomy: Top of Your TBR: Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse, The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout, House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas, or Kiss Hard by Nalini Singh
- Demonology: Word Shadow in the Title: Binding Shadows by Jasmine Silvera
- Elemental Studies: Book Under 100 Pages – Grow Something by Christina C. Jones
- Spells & Incantations: Short Stories/Essays – Black Love Matters edited by Jessica P. Pryde
- Psionics & Divination: Book Set in the Future – The Devil You Know by Kit Rocha
- Restoration: Book Featuring Healers – Steel’s Edge by Ilona Andrews
What was your favorite book in March? Do you have any April reading plans? Let me know!

Round of applause for reading so many books, and not only that but so many GOOD books!

It was honestly so restorative to read books I actually enjoyed AND weren’t giant massive tomes like WoT. Lol. I appreciated my binge of that series, but I desperately missed romance novels.

I feel you girl! I’ve calmed down with reading ARCs and it’s been a lot of fun to read blacklist

Yes! I’ve been having a lot of fun reading backlist. I mean, I am still trying to read the too many arcs I’ve gotten already, but… Lol

I have been in a HR mood too but I struggle because I’m so picky with them. I liked the first Harper St. George, but haven’t read the rest of the series. I’ll check it out though. So happy Stuck with You was a 5-star read for you! I’ve really enjoyed that audio series. 🙂

I think being picky with them is just sensible, honestly. I tend to stick with authors I already know for historical so I’m always kind of proud of myself when I try someone new. Lol
