The A.I. Who Loved Me by Alyssa Cole

Praise bless Audible for these Audible Originals that they’ve been putting into Audible Escape because I’m nearly out of audio credits and I desperately need to read Alyssa’s latest! She described it on Fated Mates as being a sort of 90s rom com with A.I. technology and Idk really what this book is going to be like, but I don’t care because Alyssa Cole is absolutely incredible and utterly brilliant.

Blitzed by Alexa Martin

I enjoyed Intercepted, but Fumbled solidified Alexa Martin as an auto buy author for me. I absolutely adore the way she infuses real life into her sports romances and her real life experiences as a wife to a professional football player lends her series an air of authenticity to me. Plus there’s the fact that I love Brynn, who is the leading lady we’re following in this installment of her brilliant series.

Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn

Hi, I’m a Clayborn stan, essentially, so I’m anxiously anticipating this book even though it doesn’t come out until NYE. I preordered this last week and the bookstore owner was like, “Now, you know these are our hours around then,” and I had to admit that I won’t even be in town on release day. But it’s the principle of the matter, you know? I want the book preordered and I want to be able to pick it up as soon as they’re done with inventory and I’m back in town. Oh yeah, this book is about Meg, a hand lettering planner guru, who intricately weaves a secret word into the wedding invitations she did for Reid and his now ex-fiancé. It’s been a year and Reid is back wanting to know how she knew his marriage was doomed.

The Map From Here to There by Emery Lorde

I have an ARC of this book, can you even believe it? I can’t wait to dive into it, but I’m forcing myself to wait because I can’t post a review of it until December anyway. I think The Start of Me and You is probably my favorite YA contemporary of all time. That feels bold, but… I mean, I loved that book so very much and the fact that Emery is giving me a follow up??? I can’t. All I want in life is for a man to argue with me about Elizabeth and Jane. That’s it. Anyway, this sequel is about Paige during her senior year trying to figure out her life and it promises to have that anxiety representation I will always need.

Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire

Technically, this book comes out January 7th, but because of the stupid Tor embargo, I think the library won’t be getting this book in until April. I’m really salty about that because while I love these books and think they’re certainly aesthetically pleasing books for one to own, they aren’t books I want to own. I’m cheap and my limited shelf space means I’m high key picky. But I’m still desperately looking forward to this book because I think we’re returning to Jack’s storyline and I love her.

Race to the Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

Roanhorse is such a talented writer so my anticipation of this book is real high. It’s her first middle grade novel as part of the Rick Riordian Presents collection and I can’t wait. I love the style of the Riordian books and I’m looking forward to what Roanhorse does in this world.

The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham

I love Scarlett Peckham’s authorial voice. She writes angst so freaking well. And her books are sexy historicals, so really there’s nothing to not love. The Lord I Left follows pastor and Lord Lieutenant Henry Evesham, who featured in The Earl I Ruined a good bit. He’s a character I couldn’t help but be intrigued by considering he’s buttoned up, but clearly enjoys being around people who flout convention. In this book, he gets his comeupance when he meets Alice Hull, a “fallen woman”. I can’t wait to read it!

The King of Crows by Libba Bray

The final installment of The Diviners series and I am desperate for it. The unknowns of where our characters are following the end of book three is slowly killing me. I don’t want to say much more about this book, but how cool is it that this 1920s set series is going to come to a close in 2020? I love it.

Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas

I’ve been excited to see where Cassandra’s storyline would go since Devil in Spring. I know we all love an unconventional woman story (and I absolutely adore Pandora), but I’m really excited to see where Kleypas takes us with a woman who was willing to toe the line for the Ton and seemed to like traditionally feminine pursuits. I’m very much looking forward to this installment of the Ravenels series.

Heartland by Sarina Bowen

I am so wildly in love with this Vermont set series it’s not even funny. I put off reading them for ages because I couldn’t fathom Sarina Bowen not writing sports romances and now this is my favorite of her series. Anyway, this one is about Dylan Shipley and we don’t have a cover or a for sure release date so the one I’m listing here is tentative. Also, it looks like it’s going to be friends to lovers maybe?
