I’m currently in a two week spread where I need extra hours in the day because work is hectic and I’m on vacation for the second half of June. So… There’s that. But I’m actually excited to tell you that I read a favorite of the year this month, Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle, which was amazing! Overall I really did have a good month in terms of my reading so let’s just dive into talking about those reads.

General Comments on My Reading in May
Overall, I think I had a really good reading month, except for the fact that my reading was horribly not diverse because I fell down a KU single dad/cowboy romance situation that I couldn’t drag myself out of to save my life. Please rec me any BIPOC authors with single parent romances, I’m begging you. Idk what is wrong with me, but I cannot leave that trope for too long or I get sad. Also, my rating system this month is probably more strict than normal, but it’s because I feel such a difference between my feelings of Hidden Legacy and Just Some Stupid Love Story than I do the books I’ve marked as my 4.5s. So really, I highly recommend all of these books, it’s just that some didn’t hit for me quite as well as others.

June TBR
First up, we have my June ARCs:

Then we have the books I did not get as an ARC, but am extremely eagerly anticipating and think that I will realistically read this month:

Otherwise, my goals this month are really just to catch up with my older ARCs, get ahead on some… You know. Read a TON because I’ll be on vacation… It’s unlikely to work out that way, but we’ll see! Let me know what you’ve got on your TBR and/or what your favorite book was in May!
